Tonight I played the “New Faces Night” at The Basement in Nashville, TN. I booked the show all the way back in October so when it finally arrived, I was excited to say the least. Barring a few technical difficulties, which are part of the game, I feel good about it.

The video below was streamed live online by UARadio.net and the folks back in Portland were able to tune in. Thanks to Julian from UARadio.net for the great service that you offer for guys like me and thanks Monique Roy for lining it all up.

My Bittersweet Parade album release in Portland is only one week away and I am “hella” excited … if you know me, I don’t use that word lightly!! From the bottom of my heart, I hope that you’ll grab a crew and join me for the long-awaited maiden voyage.

PORTLAND ASSEMBLE!!

I played the “Second Friday Songbirds” round at the Sommet Center the other day with some other great writers. We each played about 5 songs and I was happy to finally get to test out my new Flip HD camera! Below is the video for the “oldie but a goody” Rome Tomorrow and a picture of the crew. Thanks Stephen for the invite … cheers to many more!

Here is the crew: Cody & Chance, Tyler Stenson, Stephen Salyers, Chelsee Oaks and Rob Bolin. They were all fantastic writers and performers but above all, our group lunch outing afterward proved that they are good people. The conversation was totally offensive and irreverent and comfortable. Thanks for the camaraderie.

Today is the eve of what I believe to be my best show in Nashville (to date). I’ll be playing at a lovely place called The Listening Room and I’ll be joined by a slew of talent. I’m extra excited for this showcase because I get to play twice as many songs as usual and it will be broadcast LIVE on UARadio.net!!! Finally, my new album Bittersweet Parade has been submitted for duplication and the release details are coming together nicely. It won’t be long now. There are many more details to come but in the meantime, SAVE THE DATE: January 21st, 2010.

An epic night at a proper venue with my favorite people on this planet, is the most a man can ask for. The farewell show at the Aladdin Theater was a true inspiration and a moment that will drive me forward with confidence. In the loudest scream I can muster, thank you! Sincerely, it was a warm room and I was honored to be sent off to Nashville with such love.

A special thanks to the talented musicians that played with me (left to right); Anna Tivel, Jimmy Prescott, Josh Stewart, Birger Olsen and Jake Oken-Berg. All were amazing additions and vibes.

Lastly, I recently finished a song about my west coast tour that I did in May – it will be included on the new album. It was a month filled with extreme highs and lows and lessons learned. As close as I’ll get to a tour journal, this is my account of the experience.
