This last Saturday I got the opportunity to open for the lovely LeAnn Rimes at the Oregon Zoo (07/27/13) – my, my what an amazing and rewarding experience. The crowd was so warm and welcoming and LeAnn herself was also quite gracious. Here’s hoping that there is a lot more of this in my future!

Lastly, LeAnn watched my set from backstage and later, after taking this pic together, I’m proud to say that her stagehand told me, “In 4.5 years of working with her I’ve NEVER seen her come out of her trailer to watch an opening act. Never.” I’ll take it.
This entire night was something special so I’ll be riding the momentum as far as it’ll take me. In the end, I feel like I did my job; entertained the crowd and made a few new fans … including one LeAnn Rimes 🙂
