Why do you feel amazing to me?
Addictive drug I took you-
At seventeen I took you
But you wouldn’t take me.
You were too young for love.
So, just like an angel she comes to me
But haunting me because
She’s a ghost, she’s no angel.
In my head- from my head she needs to be gone.
She’s a ghost, she’s no angel
But that keeps her satisfied;
That it keeps me awake at night.
So, why do you feel amazing to me?
How did you find me here?
Wasn’t I sleeping here?
I need you to leave me
Because I want you to stay
And everyone knows a ghost can’t love-
They’re too busy fading away.
She’s a ghost, she’s no angel.
In my head- from my head she needs to be gone.
She’s a ghost, she’s no angel
But that keeps her satisfied;
That it keeps me awake at night.
She could chose to pass right through me
But my oh my, she just keeps haunting me because
She’s a ghost, she’s no angel.
In my head- from my head she needs to be gone.
She’s a ghost, she’s no angel and
Now I’m all alone and I am less than satisfied.
Seven years- this could break me.
Seven years- can’t forget that face
(though I’ve tried).
She’s a ghost, she’s no angel
But that keeps her satisfied;
That it keeps me awake at night.
