Music (or Something Like It)

Put on a record
And play it until it runs out of time.
Take it all in
And next time we’ll listen to mine.
You’ll be fine all alone
(But it’s better with the people you know)
On lazy days in the rain,
Forgetting the pain,
And how sometimes it makes things worse for you and me.

Little TV box
Please talk to me
Because my radio is all out of batteries.
I’ve got people on my walls
(The singers of the songs)
Acting like little talking voices
Always trying to prove me wrong
And that’s not right.

All of this time, the bottom line
Is that music is making me feel so good.
Taking me back, it makes me relax
To the point where I feel incredible.

She said Wait for me
I want to hear you sing!

But all this distortion in my head
Is making my head ring.
Twice upon a time I said:
I must be king
Because nothing effects you more
Than this kind of thing.

Ain’t that right?

All of this time, the bottom line
Is that music is making me feel so good.
Taking me back, it makes me relax
To the point where I feel incredible.

Taking me back, it makes me relax
To the point where I just get so excited
To find what I hide,
That I put it away-
For me and my loved ones.
Load it up.
Take it in
To the point where I feel incredible.
