Rome Tomorrow

She’s descending, this time into June.
I tell her just be you
Because Angel, you blend in with the sky
And stand out at night.

She keeps me waiting until mid July-
We say our last goodbye
And I’m waiting while I fade with the sun…
Waiting for you.

I will be searching Siena today- Rome tomorrow.
It’s a lifetime to wait.
I’m keeping the pain of the life I killed
And I’m judging our lives from a window sill.

The changing leaves and off colored greens
Make me change colors too.
A sunset in December alone.
Are you coming home?

She’s been dreaming little basic things
But God, she’s everything
And Angel you belong in the sky
With star lighted eyes.

I will be searching Siena today- Rome tomorrow.
It’s a lifetime to wait.
I’m keeping the pain of the life I killed
And I’m judging our lives from a window sill.

Write a letter to me everyday
And in the usual way tell me everything will be alright.
I keep saying I know–
I know it’s just love

But it’s something I need and it’s breaking me up.
