The Tumble

Bold faced she screamed at mine
With swollen eyes that begin to remind
Me of Innocence coupled with Experience.

I’m the Experience and she’s the Innocence
And her heart has never hurt like this–
But I know the back-break that comes with tumbling down.

Gone now are years of memories
That nobody wants but me–
But that sounds like me,
That is, to hold on endlessly.
