The theme this September has been to take things slow. As you’ve well noticed, Lander has slowed down the pace in an attempt to recover from the busy summer months and I’ve tried to clear my head, write music and catch up on the simple life. This last weekend I had the opportunity to participate in the City of Lake Oswego’s Lake Grove Village Days. It was a nice event held at the local elementary school and I was one of seven acts that played for the passer-bys and food vendors. This was the first show since August so I was extremely eager and truly inspired when I picked up my guitar to play. I have never felt such emotion during a set in my entire life- it seemed that months of hard work, frustrations and victories all came through my mouth and fingertips at once. I sat heavy with emotion, played my favorite songs with heart and quietly packed up my guitar in the rain. Though this picture was taken two months ago at another city event, I wanted to report back and humbly tell of my moving experience on stage.
Take a look at the new shows listed to the right… they’re all solo shows that will be short and sweet. It seems to be all that I have scheduled for the next couple months so hopefully I’ll see you there!
