One of the riskier songs I’ve ever written has to be Good Comet. It’s the opening track on New Northbound, and it was placed in that position to make a statement that “this record will be different from the rest.”
So it’s only fitting that the music video for my “risky” song would be pioneering in its own right. Right?

This is a totally new digital direction for me, obviously. But it came together in a totally analog kind of way. My coworker was wishing he had more real-world projects that he could apply his animation skills to.
I laughed and said, “I could keep you busy.”
He took the bait and we reached an agreement. The result: a fully animated music video that pushed the boundaries of my Elegant Folk music. The kind of creation that I could neither have dreamed up on my own nor made it happen on my own.
Enjoy!
