Exhale. I just spent the last few days walking the floors of The NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA and while it was the brand of madness it was billed to be, I managed to find an oasis or two. In particular, I was invited to perform on two separate occasions; once on the Nissan Main Stage and once as guests were seating for a NAMM Foundation round-table discussion. Both were lovely, but there was a certain romance to the NAMM Foundation stage.
As you’ll see in the video below, I performed a soft cover of one of Counting Crows’ more rockin tunes — Angels of the Silences. After making the intro, I could tell the eyes in the audience were big fans of the band, so I appreciate them allowing me to play the raucous song in my own acoustic, Elegant Folk style.
After all, I need to be practicing for the upcoming tribute show …
