I had a dream last night that I was on set for one of Mark Paul Gosselaar’s new acting endeavors and as the director yelled cut, the room went silent; just in time for all to hear me tell Mark Paul, “THAT is the kind of work that Stacey Carosi would be proud of.”
Now, I meant for it to be a compliment (and a testament to his growth as an actor) but when the group heard the remark, they started pointing and laughing hysterically in Mark Paul’s direction, causing him to cower away in humility.
Not my intention.
Rest assured, Mark Paul and I were on the same page — he knew what I was trying to say but the rest of the uniformed bystanders on the set then blindly jumped to his defense and formed an angry mob, aimed at me.
“No one talks to Mark Paul Gosselaar that way!!” they would say.
Despite the fact that Mark Paul went to my defense, they just kept coming at me.
Eventually and thankfully, after hours of heated debate with the mob, near fist fights and countless failed attempts to clarify my true stance on the matter, Mark Paul had finally had enough … he stood up in front of the mob and went on record in support of my comment; assuring them that they had me all wrong and that it was indeed a finer performance than that of his former Malibu Sands episodes.
While this was enough to satisfy the unrest of the majority of the mob, one rugged ruffian in particular refused to believe that I meant only good and darted at me in a rage…
Of course, that’s when I woke, realizing it was all a dream.
