As a Portland singer-songwriter, I’ve been pretty prolific across the years. Always writing. Always recording. Rarely sleeping.

TAKING A BREAK … WHILE RECORDING NEW MUSIC.
My friends, life is different these days — in every way. I’m taking a break from performing* while prioritizing my young family, mending my voice, reevaluating my relationship with music, … and … tracking a new studio album (to be released in spring 2025)!
I’ll do my best to return to full strength. In the meantime, stay tuned for album updates. Much love.
*Real Talk: I’m open to performing if you have an opportunity. Reach out! However, I’m not actively soliciting bookings at this time.
Drawing comparison to singer-songwriter greats such James Taylor, Cat Stevens and Ryan Adams, Stenson has been locally recognized as the Portland Singer-Songwriter of the Year by the Portland Songwriters Association and Best Male Artist at the Portland Music Awards. On the national stage, he was hand-picked by legendary producer Don Was as a Top 10 Finalist in Guitar Center’s Great American Singer-Songwriter Search, as well as hand-selected by Adam Duritz (Counting Crows) and Ryan Spaulding to be featured in their Outlaw Roadshow Showcases (SxSW+NYC). Stenson’s music is in regular rotation on SiriusXM’s The Coffee House and can be heard on a number of Chevrolet commercials, several popular television series and opening for other prominent artists such as LeAnn Rimes, George Ezra, Chris Isaak, John Popper, Marc Cohn and more.
